Purple moor-grass
A fine-textured, tussock-forming perennial grass preferring moist, humus-rich soils. Its airy flower stems create a soft purple haze in summer, fading to muted orange-yellow in autumn. Wonderful mass planted, reaching around 90 cm tall. Native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia, and named after Chilean naturalist Juan Ignacio Molinia.
