Like all Penstemons, this is tough, sun loving and drought tolerant. Don't be put off by the name, 'Sour Grapes' has beautiful dusky amethyst and blue, narrowly tubular flowers. A famous Penstemon that Vita Sackville-West had growing at Sissinghurst for many years.
