Growing
Salvia guaranitica 'Amistad'
Friendship sage
We've grown this beautiful Salvia for over 10 years and it continues to impress every season. It forms a gradually spreading clump from which new growth emerges each spring. From early summer and right through to Winter, this salvia is covered in long purple flowers from almost black bracts. 'Amistad' can only take light frosts so we recommend mulching the crown to ensure it bounces back in colder regions. Cut back to the ground in winter.
