Verbena officinalis var. grandiflora 'Bampton'
Cloaked in velvety, aubergine foliage, ‘Bampton’ sends up a constellation of fine, wiry stems, each crowned with luminous amethyst-pink flowers. The effect is light and sparkling, like fireworks suspended in air, making it a striking counterpoint to the dusky tones of sedums, the sheen of silver foliage, and the graceful sway of ornamental grasses. Flourishing in full sun and free-draining soil, this ethereal perennial rises to 80 cm and draws a lively dance of bees, butterflies, and other welcome pollinators.
